Incident Reports
Incident reports posted on this page for 2002 and beyond are a snapshot of the incidents at the time the report was created. The Incident reporting system is dynamic, meaning that agencies can add or modify reports at any time. There can be a significant delay in the submission of incident reports to IHEA. Each state and province has a different process for handling national reports of their incidents. Contact the agency hunter education office for the most current information.
Incidents are designated as Class A, B, C, or D. Class A incidents are Hunting Related Shooting Injuries or Fatalities. Class B are Non-Shooting Hunting Related Injuries or Fatalities, such as falls from treestands. Class C includes Non-Hunting Related Shooting Injuries. Class D incidents are property damage reports.
