Places to Shoot

Looking for a place to shoot? There are thousands of shooting ranges in the United States, but they aren't always easy to find. Here are a few places to look.

Local Clubs

Look for a local hunting or shooting club. Many of these organizations have ranges where you can shoot trap, skeet, sporting clays, archery, handguns, or rifles. Look for these clubs in the Yellow pages, or ask around at local guns stores. Hunter education instructors or wildlife officers are other good sources of information about local clubs.

State Wildlife Agency Ranges

Many state wildlife agencies build ranges using Wildlife Restoration funds or hunting license money. Check the hunting regulations for locations and rules, or visit the state agency web site and search for shooting ranges. Click here to contact a state agency about their shooting ranges.

Commercial Shooting Ranges
